When designing spaces for homeowners, listening closely to how they live and understanding their needs from a functional standpoint is so important. Customizing the space to specifically meet the needs of their daily life adds value that is priceless. I see drawers as the ultimate opportunity to add this kind of value. Here we will dive into the myriad of drawer modifications that Dura Supreme offers, so you can personalize to your heart’s content.

We are all familiar with cutlery dividers for silverware, but let’s take that a step further. With a 2-tier drawer insert, here we see K-cup storage below the cutlery divider. What a great way to maximize the footprint of this drawer.

The base cabinet has a multi-functional two-tier drawer that provides storage for a silverware set and large collections of k-cups and tea bags. The lower cabinets are shown in a medium stained hickory wood with brushed brass cabinet hardware.

Another way to have a drawer do double duty, is to use fixed or adjustable drawer partitions. Basically, you can install different types of storage on either side of a partition to accommodate the lifestyle of the owners.

Plate storage inside drawers can also be taken to a new level, with plate dividers and plate storage with pegs.  Another bonus with below counter plate storage is that kids can help with setting the table or emptying the dishwasher! Lid storage partitions can be installed on both sides or at the back of the drawer, creating the perfect cookware storage station. Another option for lids is using a shallow roll out above the drawer, as seen below.

In fact, shallow roll-outs installed above a drawer can be a fantastic solution for many items.

Keep all your baking supplies in one spot by using a deep drawer for mixing bowls with a small roll-out tray for your cookie cutters and misc. baking tools.

We also have the solution for that drawer below the sink that is usually omitted due to space needed for plumbing. This cut-out can be altered to fit the configuration of the pipes, and can be used with our hardwood or stainless steel drawers.
